Centre issues high-risk warning for Samsung Galaxy phone users, here's why

CERT-In has issued a high-risk warning for Samsung users 

CERT-In has issued a high-risk security advice on December 13, which highlights several vulnerabilities in millions of Samsung Galaxy smartphones, including newer and older models.

According to the latest advisory, Samsung phones fall into the category of “high-risk” and should be updated with the firmware of OS as soon as possible.

According to the CERT notice, there are a number of vulnerabilities in Samsung products that can allow an unauthorized user to bypass security measures in place, gain access to confidential data, and execute unauthorized code on the target system.

According to the agency, the risk for these phones is caused by an incorrect access control error in SmartManagerCN, which is part of the operating system. The solution for this is to install the relevant security updates on your Samsung Galaxy smartphones, as stated by Samsung.

The agency said that the solution to this risk is to apply the relevant security updates to your Samsung Galaxy phones as advised by Samsung.

What can happen if you don’t follow CERT advisory..?
